This is Great Falls
Project Role: Creative Strategist, Head of Production, Video Editor

In an effort to create cohesion with Great Falls’ Tourism “Basecamp” theme, DCI worked with both Grow Great Falls as well as Live in Great Falls to create videos for their web and social campaigns to increase awareness of the benefits of working with the Economic Development Organization and the opportunities that Great Falls, Montana has to offer. “This is Great Falls Montana” was a B2B campaign to introduce opportunities to businesses looking to expand or relocate to Great Falls. “We want you here just as much as we want you out there!” was a talent campaign to highlight the incredible variety of things to do in and around Great Falls following an architect, a rock-climbing couple, and a young family of four around Great Falls.

Halfway through production, much to DCI’s delight, Great Falls expanded the project to include additional videos featuring ADF International and NIPPN Corporation sharing why they chose Great Falls to relocate or expand their business. Both videos were produced remotely during the height of Covid-19 and filmed in Great Falls as well as Tokyo, Japan at Nippon Steel Headquarters.

Watching the first cut of our very first professionally produced video, I was blown away. We didn’t want the typical “see everything we have here” video. Instead, we wanted a compelling story about interesting people who have relocated to Great Falls and love it here. After 37 years slugging away in community economic development in challenged underperforming communities and neighborhoods, I’ve learned to temper my expectations, but every once in awhile I’m blown away with delight. The first cut was it! Hit it right on the head! Fantastic job of listening to your client, doing the ground work that many seem to skip over, and really delivering!
